AI-powered test case generation becomes a full-fledged feature
With version 13.0, AI-powered test case generation, available with the SquashTM Ultimate offering, moves out of experimental status to become a stable feature fully integrated into SquashTM.
This evolution comes with a clarified user experience for testers and a simplified, more flexible AI configuration on the administration side, while paving the way for future AI capabilities in SquashTM.
AI-powered test case generation: a controlled assistant for testers
From a requirement, the tester accesses a dedicated screen to generate test cases using AI.
They can adapt the proposed prompt, launch a generation, review the suggestions, and progressively select relevant test cases.
Each generation is independent, allowing users to compare multiple successive proposals while keeping a curated selection of validated test cases.
The selected cases are then saved in the repository and automatically linked to the requirement.
Generation remains assisted: no test case is created without explicit user validation, ensuring human control, quality, and traceability.

A simplified and future-ready AI configuration
SquashTM 13.0 streamlines AI server configuration for common use cases (OpenAI, Mistral, Anthropic, Google, etc.) and expands support for custom models.
Prompts are fully manageable, enabling organizations to tailor generation to their own testing practices and quality standards.
The new administrative architecture also lays the groundwork for integrating new AI usages in future versions of SquashTM.
Securing data with the admin recycle bin
Requires the SquashTM Premium offer.
SquashTM introduces an admin recycle bin, offering increased security against data loss:
Security & Governance: Only administrators or project managers can restore or permanently delete items.
Efficiency: A familiar interface allows both massive management (permanent deletion or restoration) and finer-grained while maintaining the original tree structure.

For now, limited to the objects of the Test cases Workspace, the admin recycle bin is a safety net to prevent any permanent physical deletion that is not allowed/unwanted at instance level.
Improved UX for Automated Test Retries
Requires the SquashTM Ultimate offer.
When running automated tests with the Retry feature, SquashTM now provides a clearer execution feedback thanks to a two-phase progress bar.
The first phase (in blue) corresponds to the initial execution, while the second (in green) indicates completed executions, after any retries of failed tests. This makes it easy to distinguish tests waiting to be retried from those that are fully completed, giving you better visibility and confidence while executions are running.
