Xsquash Privacy policy
Applies to: Jira Cloud (Atlassian Forge) & Jira Data Center
Revision date: May 2026
Overview
Henix (or hereafter "we", "us"), a French simplified joint-stock company, is committed to protecting the privacy of your data.
This Privacy Policy explains the collection, processing and treatment of personal information obtained through your use of Xsquash, available on the Atlassian Marketplace for both Jira Cloud (via the Atlassian Forge platform) and Jira Data Center.
Where data handling differs between the two deployment types, this is explicitly noted in the relevant sections. Please note that this Policy does not alter the terms of any other agreement you may have with us.

Information we collect
We only use collected data for the purposes for which it was collected:
-
To provide the synchronisation service between SquashTM and Jira;
-
To communicate with you;
-
For security purposes;
-
To address complaints and solve technical problems.
Henix is committed to keeping strict secrecy of information, documents, methods and knowledge accessed as part of these contractual relations, disclosing it only to employees as required to fulfil their missions. We reserve the right to disclose personal information if required by law or a competent authority, informing you as far as legally possible.
Data storage and retention
Data handling differs depending on your deployment type:
Jira Cloud (Atlassian Forge)
Xsquash relies on the Atlassian Forge platform. Data transits in real time between your Jira Cloud instance and your SquashTM instance. Henix does not store your business or personal data in its own systems.
Technical configuration data (SquashTM instance URL and credentials) is stored exclusively in Atlassian Forge's encrypted secure storage, within Atlassian's infrastructure, and is not directly accessible to Henix. This data is deleted upon uninstallation of the application.
No personal data is retained beyond 24 hours outside of Atlassian's infrastructure.
ℹ Cloud
Data processed within Jira Cloud is also subject to Atlassian's own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, which govern Atlassian's handling of your data independently of this policy.
Jira Data Center
In a Data Center deployment, Xsquash runs as a plugin developed with the Atlassian Plugin SDK and distributed as a JAR file directly on your self-hosted Jira Data Center instance. All data — including SquashTM credentials and synchronisation data — is stored exclusively within your own infrastructure.
Henix has no access to your servers or to any data processed by the plugin on your Jira Data Center instance. Your organisation is responsible for the security and retention of data held within its own infrastructure.
ℹ Data Center
Your organisation, as data controller, is solely responsible for data governance on your Jira Data Center environment. Henix acts only as a software provider in this context. The application also undergoes Atlassian annual validation processes covering security, dependency management and performance requirements.
Information sharing
We do not share or disclose any of your personal information with third parties except as described in this policy. We do not sell your personal information and will not provide it to any third party without your prior consent.
We are not responsible of the use made by Atlassian of this information.
Cookies
Xsquash does not use any cookies, regardless of the deployment type.
User control and rights on personal information
According to the French "data protection act" (Loi informatique et libertés, act nº78-17 of January 6th, 1978) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR — Regulation EU 2016/679), you have the following rights:
-
Right to know if we are processing personal information about you;
-
Right to access and review your personal information;
-
Right to rectification of inaccurate or incorrect data;
-
Right to opt-out of direct marketing communications;
-
Right of erasure in specific circumstances;
-
Right to data portability in a structured, machine-readable format;
-
Right to withdraw consent at any time;
-
Right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority (in France: the CNIL).
You can exercise these rights using the contact details at the end of this policy. Note that for Jira Data Center deployments, requests relating to data stored within your organisation's infrastructure should be addressed to your own data controller.
Security of your personal information
We take reasonable security precautions to protect your personal information from disclosure, misuse, alteration, loss or unauthorized access.
For Jira Cloud deployments, Xsquash relies on Atlassian Forge's secure infrastructure with HTTPS-encrypted communications and encrypted credential storage.
For Jira Data Center deployments, the security of data within your infrastructure is the responsibility of your organisation.
Nevertheless, full security cannot be guaranteed, and we cannot guarantee that communications are free from unauthorized interception by third parties.
Consent and acceptance of this policy
By installing and using Xsquash, you accept this policy in full. If you do not agree, please do not install or use the application.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy at any time. Significant changes will be notified via the application's listing on the Atlassian Marketplace or by email.
